INTO CENTRES

INTO City University London

 
 
New partnership but already providing quality students to the University.

INTO City University London opened in 2010 with the aim of preparing students for degrees at City University - one of the capital's most respected educational institutions. Many of the students who study at INTO City aspire to take the University's famous courses in business and finance (City's Cass Business School is particularly well regarded) and journalism, and the rate of progression among the first cohort to such programmes has been high. For the first few years, INTO City will share facilities with INTO UEA London in the recently built London Centre.

Successful first year 

  • Established in 2010
  • Progression to a wide range of City University London degrees, including Cass, London's top ranked business school
  • Capacity of around 250 students during first year of operation, rising to approximately 500 at maturity.
  • Of all the students who began the International Foundation programme in January 2010, 70% of those who achieved a pass mark have received an offer for direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree programme at City University London. 39% achieved a distinction (grade 70% or above) in their studies.
  • Based in the London Study Centre in the heart of London's financial district.
  • Shares staff and facilities with another INTO partner, UEA London.

Groundbreaking Study Centre in the heart of London’s financial district 

Our London Study Centre provides a world-class student experience in the heart of London's financial district. The Centre is within a few minutes' walk of Liverpool Street station, providing excellent transport links across London, as well as a wide range of shops, restaurants and cafés.

The new state-of-the-art Centre provides firstclass teaching and learning facilities for over 1000 students. The Centre has a café and comfortable, communal spaces where students can socialise and make new friends. Its first-rate teaching facilities are flexible to respond to a variety of learning requirements and include:

  • a multi-purpose lecture theatre
  • state-of-the-art IT and language laboratories
  • a Learning Resource Centre
  • tutorial and teaching classrooms
  • student support services
  • modern and comfortable breakout spaces.

The London Study Centre features the latest technologies to support our students' studies. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards, and there are two multimedia suites equipped with ISIS flipscreen computers.

 
 
 

The programmes at INTO City have been validated by the University and allow strategic recruitment into the University's degree programmes.

 

Foundation

  • Pathways available in Science, Engineering, Computing and Mathematics; and Business, Humanities and Social Science.
  • Programmes typically last one year.
  • On successful completion, students are guaranteed a place on a relevant undergraduate degree programme at the University.

 

Graduate Diploma

  • Pathways available in Business, Law and Social Science; and Science and Engineering.
  • Programmes typically last one year
  • On successful completion, students are guaranteed a place on a relevant masters degree course at City University London.
